Okay...let me first start off by saying WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY!!! Secondly...sorry for the delay on blogs!! I really hate hearing the excuse "it's crazy busy" yadda yadda yadda...but I have to use that excuse and partly my absentmindedness!! By the end of the day, my brain is TOAST, and honestly I have forgotten to blog, and by the time I remember, I am not in any place to use the time or a computer!! :/ So....sorry about that!
Anyway, today was great!! We made pies (apple, cherry, pumpkin, cherry cheescake, and a spice cake) all morning long. I tell you...these 4th graders are quite the bakers! They did AWESOME! Then...this afternoon we delivered the homemade pies to the wonderful residents at Brookdale Assisted Living! Along with that, we read some stories, sang some songs, and just chit-chatted with the residents!! It was amazing! To see the kids interact with the elderly was simply wonderful! They did such a good job, and the residents were ecstatic to visit and eat delcious pie!! It was an all around great day!!
Since we are now on a lengthy break, I did not even have the kids take their homework folders or agendas home! They do not have homework over the break (other than to read and eat a lot....and play outside)!! We will start new AR points on Monday, so be ready for a test!
Overall, I hopefully will be back on track with the blogging starting after Thanksgiving Break!! Have a fantastic Thanksgiving and enjoy your time off!!
