Hey everyone...
Sorry for the delay on posting a blog! Things have been crazy busy, which is a good and bad thing! With our new schedule changes at school, there is really NO time during the day to blog, and afterschool hours and evening hours have been pretty jampacked too...so I apologize! I will try and blog as much as possible! I promise!!!!
So...let me give you a little rundown of our week! We wrapped up our story of the week "Grandfather's Journey." That means we took our weekly test, finished the story, finished up some projects, and took our spelling test! We are still in the middle of a few projects that will be ongoing, but overall, the kids are doing great at getting things done and turned in!! In fact, we even had some time to sneak in a celebration of fall activities since Friday was the FIRST DAY of Fall . (even though it didn't feel like it)! Let's hope for some fall like temperatures this week!
Coming up, we will be starting a new story called To Fly: A Story of the Wright Brothers! It's an awesome story about Wilbur & Orville Wright and the invention of the airplanes. To go along perfectly with this story, 4th grade gets the opportunity to take a fieldtrip to the Airport for Aviation Day! I can't wait for that...it will be Thursday, Sept. 28! We will go in the morning and be back in time for lunch! It's going to be a great experience for all of the kiddos! We also have our first Character Counts Assembly on Friday! These assemblies are so fun, and recognize a student from each class that has demonstrated great character traits throughout the month!
We do not have school on Monday due to a teacher in-service, but I will see everyone back on Tuesday! Enjoy your extra day off! :)
