Okay...I'm back...I promise! :) Sorry for the delay in blogs! Don't let that fool you...we have been super busy throughout the school day! I tell ya...I hear comments like "wow, that day flew" to "it's already over" which means we are getting things done, and using our time to the best of our ability! To fill you in on some things that have gone on the past few weeks...
#1- we dissected sheep brains (that was fun---for me anyway---some of the kids not so much)
#2- we started writing biographies over famous people (they are turning out fantastic)
#3- we have learned and studied famous inventors and inventions to go along with the story of the Wright Brothers
#4- we have studies simple machines, and we even made our own simple machines out of licorice, pretzels, tootsie rolls, graham crackers, mints, and cookies
#5- we have picked our book characters that we will be writing a paper about to go along with our pumpkins (I can't wait to see how those turn out)
#6- we had our first AR party (making slime, slime pies, silly string slime, and treats...it was a BLAST)
#7- sooooooo much more....
Things coming up...
#1- Spelling Test tomorrow
#2- Interest Day tomorrow morning until lunch time
#3- IKE parade tomorrow afternoon starting at 2:00
#4- Parent teacher conferences will be Oct. 24/26

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns!!! oh yeah...we have new reading AR goals and our deadline will be Nov. 2. Read those AR books, and take those AR tests so you can qualify for the October AR Party!!!!
