Happy CONSTITUTION DAY!! Today was a great day, and we got a TON done, and we even had pictures squeezed in there! Tomorrow is Friday, and we have a lot planned to wrap up the week! Reading groups will be presenting their "sequence" activities and teaching the class a thing or two (hopefully) :) We will also be doing a science experiment and moving on through math and studying BIG NUMBERS!!!
Today we studied the United States Constitution and even wrote class Preambles! They did an AMAZING JOB on writing preambles! Be ready for a little quiz at home on reciting the preamble of the US constitution ;)! We also did some research about Japan and continued our landform posters! What can I say....we have a lot going on!
For math, we reviewed numbers all the way up to the hundred million placevalue. We are for sure getting to some very large numbers! They had a blast at the game center making big numbers by rolling a dice and stacking fruitloops on the marshmallow in the appropriate place value! Then of course they ate their place values :) We ended our day with some more talk about the constitution and even watched a hilarious clip from the Andy Griffith Show!!! They loved it!
Tonight they kiddos who brought back a signed permission slip will be bringing home chocolate bars to sell! They will get another box once they return the money and sign an additional form! Hopefully we can reach our goal and make over $5000 for our school! Thank you to all of those out selling candy bars!!
Homework tonight:
Math HL 2.3
Read 15 minutes
Have a good evening,
