I feel like tonight could be a full moon! It seemed like there was extra energy today!! :) However, even with the extra energy we were able to get a lot done and earn 3 stars for the day!! Woohoo!! We caught up on a TON of work, tied up some loose ends, talked more about the Japanese culture (even learned our name in Japanese), and got in a game of Kahoot!! YAY!!
For math, we collected data according to our family sizes, sorted it and found maximum, minimum, median, mode, and range. We talked about line plots and bar graphs and even created our own graphs!! They are doing a fantastic job with data and place value!!
Tomorrow we will be taking our selection test over "Grandfather's Journey" so it might be a good idea to listen to the story one more time, and study up on those vocabulary words!! We are hoping the library will be back open tomorrow since we were trying to get everyone in the school finished up on MAPS!!
I will be sending home a note with regards to our upcoming AR party as well as end of the month activities. The Celebrities of the Week will be going to Big Cheese to eat lunch and we will be having our first classroom store later next week so they have a chance to spend some of their hard earned money!!
Tomorrow we will be doing a science experiment, continuing our reading centers, and doing more with multi-digit numbers!!
Tonight's homework:
Homelink 2.6
Read 15 min
Bonus Question: What 2 types of charts did we talk about in math that we can use to organize collected data?
Have a good Tuesday,
Mrs. Elder
