Hello again! Sorry for the delay on blogging! Honestly, I didn't think I had too many students were getting on and participating! They reassured me yesterday that they do indeed want me to blog every once in a while and put up a bonus question (I think that's the real motivation).
Anyway, the weather is changing that's for sure!! We have had some great behavior and some not so great behavior!! So...between the weather changing and entering the last half of the school year, I am having to give LOTS AND LOTS of reminders on appropriate behavior (including language and actions). I did remind them that there will not be any warnings for inappropriate behavior and that it will be automatic recess time! They seemed to understand my seriousness!! Hopefully it will improve from now until the end of the school year!
On another note, we are in the middle of some VERY big projects. We have a research project taking place about Machu Picchu. I can't wait to see how those turn out. We also are working on some book reports and projects. These will be ongoing projects for about the next 2-3 weeks! We are also ending Unit 6 in math, which means we will be having a math test on Friday. Also, on Friday we will be taking our first states and capitals test over the EAST region. They are in the middle of making flash cards to help with studying those!! Overall...we are SUPER busy!!
All in all, I feel like we utilize EVERY SECOND of our school day! There is not one minute that we are not busy learning, working, and having fun!! It's crazy...but boy are we getting a lot done!! Make sure to stay tuned on weather...Crusader Alerts will go out if there is a cancellation and I will try to send out a Remind!!!
Also, we have this week and next week to get qualified for AR (5points). Make sure to read those books and take those AR tests!!!
Stay warm and stay safe on the roads,
Mrs. Elder
