It's official...we made it through the first 9 weeks of school, and we have survived parent teacher conferences!!! Thank you sooooo much for taking the time out of your busy schedules to come in and talk with me. I very much enjoyed meeting ALL of you, and I love being able to put a parents face now with each kiddo!!
We finished up our Pumpkin Book Reports, and we are almost completely finished with our landform projects! They did sooooo good on these projects. I will try to post some pictures and slideshows on our website next week!!! We also took our spelling test today, and learned all about a new math website called Prodigy Math! They LOVE it...have them play it over the long 4 day weekend to get a little extra math practice!
Next week is Red Ribbon Week. That means SPIRIT WEEK!! YAY!! We will be learning about staying drug free and making smart & healthy choices! We will be creating a poster, listening to high school kids, and participating in some fun activities!
I gave them a homework assignment for the extended 4 day weekend that should be fun and entertaining! I want them to interview an older relative (over 50 preferably) and ask about how things have changed over the years...technology, homelife, etc. Also, when they return it will be spirit week, so Tuesday is PJ Day.
We are almost through the month of October, which is CRAZY!!! It's going to be Thanksgiving before we know it! Enjoy the weather and your extended weekend!
