Planes, planes, and more planes!! This morning was WONDERFUL! We not only got to spend the morning out at the Wellington Airport at the Aviation Fair looking at really awesome planes, BUT it was also absolutely beautiful weather! It was a fantastic morning! The kids did a great job walking around looking at the various planes and asking some great questions!! It was a great production, and we are very gracious that we got to have the opportunity to visit! It's going to enhance our knowledge and interest in our story of the week about the Wright Brothers!
For math, we did a review of Unit 2 since TOMORROW we will be having our Unit 2 math test! The kiddos completed a study guide to help review for the test! It would be a great idea to look back through those questions and do a little more practice at home tonight for the test tomorrow!
We finished up coloring our 4 regions of the United States that we will be studying for social studies! We also filled out community job applications since we will be starting new jobs next week! I can't believe it's already October almost!! WOW!!
Friday we will be having our class store so the kids can spend some of their hard earned money!! Make sure to keep reading every night so we can get those reading levels up!!
NOTE: A Fire safety note went home tonight! 4th and 5th graders are allowed to walk through the "smoke" house that the fire department brings for fire safety week next week. In order to participate in the smokehouse, students must have parent permission. Please sign the form and send it back to school tomorrow!!
Homework:
Study for the math test (review study guide)
Read 15 minutes
Fire Safety Note
Have a wonderful evening,
Mrs. Elder
