There is no other way to put it besides simply saying...Monday's are BUSY days! However, that's not a bad thing...it just means we have to get busy and get things done and use every minute we have!! We have new helpers this week, we are on to a normal schedule and routine, and we are ready to tackle this week! We also had our first practice fire drill today!
Our morning consisted of a pre-spelling test (this is NOT a grade and the test will be Sept. 11), PE, library skills, a little bit of reading and talking about Winn-Dixie, and Exploration Place. Needless to say...we got as much done as possible with reading, and we will continue with our story tomorrow! As for the afternoon, we continued with our math lesson talking about angles, triangles, and quadrangles and even had time to do a math scavenger hunt! We got a lot done today, and it was a great day! I have a lot planned for the week, and I'm excited to get into our story more this week!
I have been completing some baseline assessments and fluency checks, which helps give me more information about each student! I use this information to chart growth throughout the year! The kiddos are always doing a great job taking AR tests! Make sure to read each night for 15 minutes so we can reach our 4 point AR goal by October 2!
Tonight's homework:
Math HL 1.3
Read 15 minutes
BONUS QUESTION: Name 2 spelling words and spell them to me!!
Happy Monday,
